Message From The Principal

Dear ELC & LS Parents,

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we would like to highlight a few important reminders and key dates to help your family stay informed during this busy time. Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support as we work together to close the school year on a positive note.

Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 6, for our final House event of the year, House Swimming. Parents are warmly invited to come and support their children and House Teams. The swimming schedule for each grade level is provided below.

As we look toward the month of May, please see below our Early Release Schedule from May 19 (Tuesday) through our final day of school on May 28 (Thursday). Kindly note the dismissal times and bus departure times, and plan accordingly when picking up your children from school or at your respective drop-off areas. We expect students to be off campus half an hour after dismissal.

Our regular weekly library classes will be wrapping up soon as the library prepares for end-of-year clearance and inventory. We kindly ask families to start collecting any books or media materials currently borrowed by your children and return them to the library as soon as possible. Please note that completing library clearance is the first step in the overall Student Clearance Process.

In addition, families are reminded to settle any remaining balances with the school, including Lions ID accounts. Accounts for Nursery, Pre-Kinder, and Kindergarten should be settled by May 8 (Friday), while accounts for Grades 1 to 5 should be settled by May 15 (Friday).

A Special Announcement for Grade 4 Parents. Our fourth graders will also be having their Music-Band-Strings (MBS) Orientation during their Music Class (4N on May 11, Block 1, 4A on May 13, Block 4, and 4E on May 15, Block 4). During this activity, they will visit the three MBS classrooms to learn more about each subject so they can choose which one they would like to take in Grade 5. A letter with a reply slip will be going home on those days. Kindly complete the form and return it to the office by May 18, 2026.

Thank you for your cooperation and support with these end-of-year procedures. We appreciate your partnership throughout the school year and look forward to sharing many joyful moments together as we celebrate the close of another successful year.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive week ahead!

Warm regards,

Lenore Baldwin
Lower School Principal
