Expectations of Faculty in a Church-Affiliated School
Brent International School Manila is affiliated with the Episcopal (Anglican) Church of the Philippines. The school is therefore committed to uphold and respect the doctrines and disciplines of the Episcopal Church.
While there is a definite Christian culture at all Brent Schools, that religious culture is ecumenical in nature – not evangelical – and worship services still follow the traditional patterns of the Episcopal Church. Faculty is expected to respect this culture, but individual beliefs are likewise respected. There is no religious “litmus test” for faculty, but all are expected to support the general Christian orientation of the school. In practice, this means that all faculty members, together with students and administrators, attend weekly school-level chapel assemblies, monthly school-level Eucharist services, and four school-wide Eucharist Services per year.
