At Brent International School Manila we are proud to trace our educational legacy in the Philippines back over 100 years. The roots of our traditions can be traced even further back to the Episcopal prep schools of North America and Anglican schools like Eton and Harrow in the United Kingdom.

While these historical roots can be found in activities like our House system, our school song and our annual Moving Up Day ceremony, the real value of our heritage is rooted in our mission, vision and culture. An international and ecumenical outlook have been hallmarks of a Brent education long before multiculturalism became a global buzz word.

Rigorous academic standards and character education are woven together in our educational DNA. Our co-curricular programs, which include sports, creative pursuits, and service to the community are inextricably intertwined with our learning goals. In the words of educational reformer John Dewey, “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”

In our hallways, over a hundred years of tried and tested educational tradition meet the modern realities of life in the information age. It is a rich and vibrant interchange where questions about the moral use of technology and the ethical implications of modern science can be confronted and discussed in a safe and open environment where inquiry based learning thrives.

We would like to thank all of the Brent families for partnering with Brent in the education of your children. To those of you joining us for the first time, welcome to the Brent Family! We are well staffed with professionals in many fields drawn from the expertise of many nations, and we look forward to meeting the daily challenges of the school year with you.
