Making history at the 3rd International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Astana, Kazakhstan, Team Philippines brought home 1 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals in its debut, competing against 471 contestants from 108 countries and territories!

Bravo to Helena Bermudez (Gr. 10), Natalie Bailon (Gr. 9), Santiago Coscolluela (Gr. 9), Mikael Coscolluela (Gr. 7), and Tala Tugade (Gr. 4), who lit up the stage in three sold-out shows of The SpongeBob Musical!
This musical was presented by Rude Mechanicals Theater Co. to raise funds for the Tuloy Foundation’s Performing Arts Program for underprivileged youth, some of whom our Lions joyfully shared the stage with.

Congratulations to Mateo Desuasido (Gr. 9) on his successful participation in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) Philippines 2026 competition!
Mateo was awarded a gold medal and placed 3rd in the national rankings. This achievement secured him a spot on Team Philippines for IOAI 2026, the Asia-Pacific Olympiad in AI, and the Northern Eurasian Olympiad in AI.
The competition began in January, with the final Team Selection Round concluding this month.
In addition, Mateo recently represented the Philippines at the North Eurasian Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (NEOAI) held last May 3-4, 2026. Competing against delegations from Russia, Armenia, Iran, Romania, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, and Serbia, Mateo placed 17th out of 222 contestants and achieved the highest ranking among members of the Philippine team.
Mateo, your hard work, perseverance, and determination have brought you this far. Excellent work, Lion! We are rooting for you, keep it up!
Congratulations to Kian Kleiss (Gr. 10) for being accepted into the AMIS (Association for Music in International Schools) Jazz Band as an electric guitarist!
This annual event will take place during the second week of October at the American School in London. This prestigious program accepts only around 30 of the highest-level student musicians from across the globe. Kian was one of the few students selected based on his exemplary audition and will be performing in both the Big Band and the Jazz Combo.

Congratulations to our Middle Schoolers who competed in the American Mathematics Competition 8, an international competition designed for grade 8 and below.
Yihan Li (Gr. 7) received Honor Roll of Distinction for placing in the top 1% in the competition.
Yieon Kim (Gr. 8) received a Top 10% Certificate.
Ryuji Goh (Gr. 7) received a Top 25% Certificate.
Riley Briell Alintanahin (Gr. 8), Danni Manabat (Gr. 8), Stefan Castro (Gr. 7) and Jeongyun Ryu (Gr. 7) received certificates of participation.

Second graders Nadia Leong De Azevedo, Luna Eslamieh, and Luna Sorensen successfully completed their races, showing impressive strength, focus, and determination at such a young age. We are so proud of these young athletes for taking on the challenge and finishing strong.

Congratulations to Duke Brooks (Gr. 5) on his outstanding play at the Pasiklaban Football Cup 2026!
Duke is the team captain of the Azkals Development Academy – Blue U13 team, which won the championship in their category. He was also awarded the tournament MVP. Keep it up, Lion!
