Congratulations to Pascal and Cayley Mathematics Participants!

Congratulations to Geonwoo Lee (Gr. 9), Angelina Tao (Gr. 7), Alexandre Faes-Charavel (Gr. 9), Donghyun Kang (Gr. 9) for achieving distinction in the Grade 9 Pascal mathematics contest. Geonwoo Lee (Gr. 9) was awarded the medal for top in school.

Congratulations to Siyoung Park (Gr. 10), Danielle Dixon (Gr. 10), Nayoung Kim (Gr. 10), Seongji Lee (Gr. 10), Yeeun Lee (Gr. 9), Chaeho Song (Gr. 10), Hanbi Kim (Gr. 10) for achieving distinction in the Grade 10 Cayley mathematics contest. Siyoung Park (Gr. 10) and Danielle Dizon (Gr.10) are joint medal winners for top in school.

The Pascal and Cayley mathematics contests are sponsored by Waterloo University, Ontario.

Congratulations to Our Tennis Champions!

We are proud to celebrate our talented Lions who recently participated in the Serve for a Cause Tennis Tournament. The tournament featured a wide range of categories, including U9 and U10 Unisex, U12, U14, and U18 Boys and Girls, as well as Men’s and Women’s C, Men’s B, and Mixed Doubles divisions. This event took place at the Brent Tennis Center on April 26, 2025.

Special mention goes to the following Lions for their outstanding achievements:

Dear Parents,

Brent International School Manila’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) would like to announce that we will be holding our annual PTA elections next month. This is an opportunity for you to get involved in our school community and help shape the direction of the PTA for the upcoming school year.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who are interested in serving as PTA Officers. As a PTA Officer, you will work closely with our team to plan and organize events, support school initiatives, and promote family and community involvement in education.

What is required to serve on the PTA board?
– Attendance at PTA meetings
– Managing the Viber groups for your child’s grade level/class
– Participate in organizing PTA-led activities for your child’s level and school-wide events

We encourage all parents who are interested in making a positive impact on our school community to join us! Nominations are now open and can be submitted by clicking on this link: PTA Willingness To Serve Form. The deadline for nominations is May 2.

Congratulations to all the artists, performers, directors, staff, and crew for a successful Annual Festival of the Arts! This week-long event featured an art exhibit, Orchestra Recital, Choir Recital, Recorder Recital, Spring Band Concert, Dance Recital, and a Solo & Ensemble Recital, with participants ranging from Lower School to Upper School students.

This festival is not just a celebration of creativity, diverse skills, and talent—it is also a testament to perseverance and hard work. Bravo, Lions! Keep pursuing your passion!

Congratulations to Global Issues Network Club Members!

Congratulations to the Global Issues Network (GIN) club members for their outstanding performance at the first-ever Case Study Competition held during the Youth Activists and Advocacies (YAA) Conference on April 5, 2025, at ISM. Competing against students from over 10 schools, our GIN representatives showcased remarkable dedication, creativity, and perseverance.

We’re proud to share that Brent won first place in the Youth Activism and Advocacy (YAA) competition—a challenge that called for innovative and practical solutions addressing either gender or economic inequality. Our students impressed the judges with their thoughtful ideas and impactful proposals, truly embodying the spirit of advocacy and change.

Congratulations to Alandra Silva (gr. 10) for winning gold in both the 3000m and 1500m events at the National Academy of Sports Athletics Championship Under-16, held on April 6, 2025, at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium. She competed against the best U16 athletes in the country. Way to go, Lion!
