World Hip Hop Dance Championship

Three (3) Brent students were spotted at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship finals!  XinYu “Amber” Lau (Gr. 8) was part of the A-Kidz dance team, while Yihan “Isa” Li (Gr. 7) and Juri Maeda (Gr. 7) were members of the Lilpeepz dance team. Both teams proudly represented the Philippines and qualified for the world event, which took place in Arizona, USA, from July 28 to August 2, 2025.

These Lions trained hard every day and their perseverance paid off. We congratulate them on their dedication and success. Way to go, Lions!

Congratulations to Mrs. Lenore Baldwin and Mr. Stuart Sutherland!

The Lions Mountain Runners (LMR) participated in the Malepunyo Mountain Run on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Brent’s Lower School Principal, Mrs. Lenore Baldwin, won 1st place overall in the Female 5-Kilometer Division. Brent’s Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher, Mr. Stuart Sutherland, placed 3rd in the Male 5-kilometer Division.

Congratulations to Allaniz and Jamilla!

Congratulations to Allaniz Ferrer (Grade 11) and Jamilla Ferrer (Grade 7) for winning Gold at the Asia All Stars Festival 2025 held at the Anyang Arts Center in Seoul, South Korea. Participants in the competition included representatives from Malaysia, Qatar, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and host country South Korea, among others.

  • Allaniz won a Gold Award in Contemporary Dance Solo, placing Top 3 Overall, and another Gold Award in Contemporary Dance Group, placing Top 2 Overall.
  • Jamilla received a Gold Award in Contemporary Dance Group, placing Top 4 Overall, and a Silver Award in Contemporary Dance Quad.

Parent Coffee Talk: MaiaLearning

Dear Parents,

MaiaLearning is the platform we use to send transcripts to universities, store students’ college application documents, and other helpful information for your students’ college planning process. Please join the Upper School Counselors on Thursday, September 4, at 2:45 pm in U101 for a MaiaLearning training session. Please bring a laptop computer for this session.

In this session:

  • The counselors will discuss what MaiaLearning is and how we utilize it with each grade level
  • You will learn how to login and navigate through your parent account, helping you keep track of your student’s progress in the college application process
  • time for Q/A after the training

Congratulations to Coen and Trevor!

Great job, Coen Castillo (Grade 5) and Trevor Castillo (Grade 8), for participating in the Milo Championship Cup IV held at the Aquatic Center in New Clark City, Tarlac last August 2!

Coen earned a Silver Medal, ranking 2nd in the 50-meter developmental freestyle event for the 11–12-year-old division. Congratulations, Lions!
