SIBOL: Rooted. Rising. Roaring.

Our Grade 4 and 5 students enjoyed an unforgettable camp filled with learning, creating, connecting, and growing together. Through hands-on cultural activities, team challenges, shared meals, and the spirit of kapwa, students explored Filipino culture, creativity, community, collaboration, and the importance of supporting one another.

We were honored to learn from two inspiring culture bearers: Tatay Waway Saway, a Talaandig artist and musician, who introduced students to the bamboo flute and Talaandig traditions, and Evelinda Otong, a Yakan weaver and entrepreneur, who shared the rich cultural heritage and artistry behind Yakan weaving.

A special thank-you to Ms. Claire Powers for helping make these meaningful learning experiences possible.

A truly memorable Sibol experience reminding us that culture is not simply something we learn about, but something we listen to, learn from, respect, and help carry forward.

Brent Aqualions swimmers are making waves to start the school year right!

Upper Schoolers Marty Uson (Gr. 12), Steph Castro (Gr. 10), Iana De Leon (Gr. 8), Mia Ivanova (Gr. 8), and Yolanda Du (Gr. 6) earned podium medals and qualified to compete in age-group events at the 2026 Philippine Aquatics National Short Course Championships this November.

Congratulations to Lower School athletes Leo Garcia Prada (Gr. 5), Jiro Bacani (Gr. 4), Finn Focke (Gr. 4), and Karl Focke (Gr. 2), who were part of the Apex Football Clinic team that won the bronze medal for the U10 Category at the Lions Legacy Cup on September 6. Great work, Lions!

Congratulations to Stephanie Castro (Gr. 10) on winning two gold medals at the 2026 STASA-PAI Short Course 2nd Leg, held on August 15, 2026, in Calamba, Laguna!

Stephanie won gold in both the 100m Backstroke and 200m Freestyle. She also successfully met the required National Qualifying Time Standard (QTS) to compete in the upcoming 2026 Philippine Aquatics National Championships Short Course, which will be held in November.

Congratulations to Van Quoc Bao Nguyen (Gr. 6) for his successful participation in the recent Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) 2026.

During the Heat Round of the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO), Bao earned a Silver Award for his performance. Building on this success, he advanced to the Final Round held on-site in Hong Kong this August 22-23, where he achieved another Silver Award.

Way to go, Lion!

Congratulations to 11th graders Suhang “Andy” Du, Geonwoo Lee, and Yeeun Lee, and 12th grader Nayoung Kim, on their participation in the World Mathematics Championships Senior Finals, held at Imperial College London.

Andy received a Silver Medal in the Applications Category, while Nayoung received a Gold Medal in the Applications Category.
