Congratulations to Mateo Desuasido (Gr. 9) on his successful participation in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) Philippines 2026 competition!
Mateo was awarded a gold medal and placed 3rd in the national rankings. This achievement secured him a spot on Team Philippines for IOAI 2026, the Asia-Pacific Olympiad in AI, and the Northern Eurasian Olympiad in AI.
The competition began in January, with the final Team Selection Round concluding this month.
In addition, Mateo recently represented the Philippines at the North Eurasian Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (NEOAI) held last May 3-4, 2026. Competing against delegations from Russia, Armenia, Iran, Romania, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, and Serbia, Mateo placed 17th out of 222 contestants and achieved the highest ranking among members of the Philippine team.
