The spirit of Bayanihan is beautifully captured on Brent Manila chapel’s wall, a masterpiece sculpture by national artist Eduardo Castrillo.
Strengthening the Brent Legacy: Bayanihan
Bayanihan comes from the Filipino word bayan, meaning “community” or “nation.” Traditionally, this spirit was most vividly seen in rural villages, where neighbors would come together to help a family relocate their house by lifting and carrying it to a new location. This act of teamwork, selflessness, and solidarity extends far beyond its historical roots. Today, Bayanihan continues to define Filipino society, particularly in times of crisis, acts of everyday kindness, and national efforts toward a common cause.
As a school that embraces both its Filipino heritage and international identity, Bayanihan remains a guiding principle. One that shapes not only academic success but also character and compassion.

Brent’s edication dates back to 1904, and this legacy of giving begins in 2026. Join us now to strengthen the Brent Legacy!

Every Gift Counts. Every Act of Generosity Matters.
Whether large or small, your contribution makes a meaningful impact in helping us provide life-changing opportunities, exceptional education, and cutting-edge facilities.
Be a part of the Brent Giving Program today and help us build a legacy of generosity one gift at a time.
From student, to teacher, to parent, Ms. Aiza shares how Brent shaped who she is today.
Each gift allows Brent to extend our reach and strengthen our programs. Your support becomes a blessing not only to our students but to others who need real assistance and real opportunities. Your giving creates visible, meaningful change in areas such as service-learning initiatives, STEM, arts programs, health and wellness, leadership development, and sports training.
Your support helps Brent remain responsive in a world that is constantly changing. It equips our teachers, enhances our programs, and ensures that our students continue to receive an education that is truly world-class. And importantly, it allows us to make a Brent education more accessible to deserving Lions who may need support to continue their journey with us.
A culture of giving is normal for strong school communities. When more families, alumni, and friends partner with us, we can keep improving without having to significantly increase tuition. It bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Brent education.
When you give, you are not giving “to a school”. You are giving as part of a family. You are strengthening the same team, the same mission, the same community that has shaped generations of Brentonians. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” At Brent, you are part of that village.

Mrs. Garcia, a mother of three and Brent’s PTA President reflects on how her children have flourished since joining the Brent community. With two alumni now studying at universities in Canada and Australia, and one currently in the Upper School, she speaks proudly of their growth, confidence, and well-rounded development.
She credits their Brent education for helping them excel across academics, the arts, music, and sports, while also shaping them into kinder, more inclusive individuals. Throughout their Brent years, her children found joy, built lasting friendships, and truly felt at home within the school community.
Mrs. Garcia’s experience reaffirmed her belief that Brent was the right choice for her family. Her continued support for Brent stems from her deep appreciation of the school’s mission and its commitment to nurturing students.
