February 14, 2022
Dear Brent Families,
Brent’s area has now dropped to Alert Level 2, and we invite students to return to campus starting Thursday, February 17. Please note that we will be reverting to our former in-person daily schedule, however, this first Thursday back will NOT be a late start day. Classes will begin at 8:00am.
If you plan to send your children back to campus and have not already completed this online permission form, please complete it now. Students will not be allowed to attend in-person classes without it.
Our surveys indicate that, of those responding, approximately 89% of Upper School students, 73% of Middle School students and 15% of Elementary students are already fully vaccinated. Our own employees are 99% vaccinated with many already receiving boosters. These numbers, combined with our social distancing space, air circulation and filtration provide a significant margin of safety. Please help us encourage your children to wear their masks and follow good personal hygiene practices. Our clinic will screen any medical issues and keep families informed of any known exposure.
There will undoubtedly be an adjustment period as students and teachers adapt to our HyFlex system of education. Our initial focus will be on students’ social and emotional wellbeing. With time, we aim to bring back all the extracurricular aspects that complete a well-rounded education. At the moment we are encouraged that all indications point toward restrictions loosening and the country opening up to sustained in-person instruction.
Thank you for your continued support as we strive to bring your children a quality education.
Sincerely,
Jason Atkins
Headmaster
