Dear Brent Families,
We ask for your help as we start the school year. Please keep your children home if they have any COVID symptoms or are close contacts with positive friends or family members. Our teachers will be flexible in providing asynchronous support and giving students time to catch up on missed work.
In preparation for the first day of classes on Thursday, we have tested all of our employees for COVID. The good news is that none of our faculty tested positive. We attribute this to proactive self-monitoring. Our teachers have been careful to remain home when they have symptoms or are close contacts with anyone who tests positive.
Parents and drivers will only be allowed on campus to pick up uniforms, go to the cashier or other pre-arranged appointments. Please note that only students and employees are currently permitted to use the cafeteria or café and parents should not wait on campus.
Parking in the basement will be open, but the driver’s waiting area will be closed, and cars cannot be left running in the basement. Parking is also available by the tennis courts for those who would like to wait in their cars.
We hope to provide more access as the school year progresses. In the meantime, thank you for your support as we work to open the school year as safely as possible.
Sincerely,
Jason Atkins
Headmaster
