Students, you are wonderful and we are proud of you Lions for not only abounding in hope but for being the source of hope for others as well! Lions remained resilient, creative, and productive despite the challenges this pandemic has brought to everyone. Together we have overcome many difficulties and hopefully soon we’ll be together and feel the warmth of the Brent Pride Community.

A special mention to two Lions, Zhin Lee (gr. 6) who showed service through her language and Josemaria Collado (gr. 11) through his musical skill.

Zhin Lee (gr. 6) spends time outside school translating Korean fairy tales books to English. Zhin is on her third book and her goal is to translate two books every month. These fairy tales books are being donated to various orphanages around the Philippines. This initiative is under the Korean Book Charity program.

Josemaria Collado (gr. 11) got an Honorable Mention placing 4th on the list in the recent competition entitled “Panagbangon, Pannakapaimbag (Pagbangon, Paghilom)“, Nov. 23-28, 2021 National Finals Competition. This event was organized by the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA). There is no Junior category for woodwinds so Josemaria competed with the more experienced senior musicians. Here’s the link to the recorded video for those who want to check it out; “Open Woodwinds” at the 9:30 minute mark: https://fb.watch/9v1TVc2HrI/

Way to go, Zhin and Josemaria! Keep up the great work, Lions!
