Congratulations to Samuel Grimes (Gr. 12) and Benjamin Grimes (Alumni ‘16)!

Congratulations to Samuel Grimes (Gr. 12) and Benjamin Grimes (Alumni ‘16) for a job well done representing our country at the Philippine leg of the FIA Formula 4 South East Asian Championship at Clark International Speedway last October 20-22, 2017.​

Sam was able to get 2nd and 3rd places in two out of the weekend’s six races. He also won a trophy as the best rookie finisher in race two. Older brother Ben took two wins out of six races during that weekend, and finished on the podium five times, ending up 2nd overall. In total, they collected seven podium finishes, two race wins and a pole position for the country.

Way to go, Lions!

Congratulations to Enzo Courbet!

Enzo Courbet (Grade 7) is one of ten football players selected (from about 150) to represent the Philippines in the Milo-FCB camp in Camp Nou, Barcelona, Spain on October 15-24, 2017. Way to go, Lion!

​Congratulations to Brent Volleyball Teams!

Brent’s boys and girls JV and Varsity volleyball teams swept Faith in the Lion’s Den on Spike Night. Brent also won three out of four against ISM on October 6. Way to go, Lions!

The Sound of Music!

Quinn O’Hara (Grade 9) and Joseph Leggatt (Grade 8) are set to play the parts of Louisa and Friedrich von Trapp in the upcoming production of The Sound of Music at the Solaire. Performances will run from September 27 until October 23, 2017. Break a Leg, Lions!

The Varsity Girls Tennis team won third place at ISSA Lawn Tennis Tournament held Saturday, September 9, 2017. Players are Heni Sy, Sophia Ochoa, Isabelle Kim and Heather Miller. Coaches are Mr. Collin Tanzey and Mr. Rod PIneda. Way to go, Lions!

Brent Teachers Ben Regan, Katelyn Regan and Priscilla Leighton completed the Aboitiz Olympic Distance TRI held on September 2, 2017 at the Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club in Nasugbu, Batangas. Way to go Lions!

Congratulations to Andrew Lee!

Congratulations to Grade 12 student Andrew Lee for a remarkable piano recital held at the Insular Life Auditorium on August 26, 2017. Andrew performed works of Chopin, Gershwin’s famous “Rhapsody in Blue” and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5 in E flat major (“Emperor”), Opus 73 with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO). It was conducted by Prof. Herminigildo Ranera in collaboration with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), Philippine’s leading Orchestra. Way to go, Andrew!

Brent Filmmaker Makes it to the 60th San Francisco International Film Festival!

Congratulations to Harley Maranan (Grade 11) and his batchmates Atul Khanna, Annika Velez, Allene De Castro, Sachit Chopra, Vanshika Kochhar, and Akshara Sanketh.

Harley’s film ‘N.O.VI.S.’ received one of the two major awards, the Google Breakthrough in Technology Award, at the 60th San Francisco International Film Festival (see SFFILM for more information) recognizing the use and display of technology and innovation in the film, as part of the Golden Gate Awards Youth Category on April 16, 2017 in San Francisco. Way to go, Lions!

Congratulations, Katyann and Mrs. Baldwin!

On April 30, 2017, Katyann Baldwin (Gr. 6) and Mrs. Lenore Baldwin (PK teacher) participated in the Eco-Friendly Run for the Juan Up-hill Challenge in Kalayaan, Laguna. Out of hundreds of participants, Katyann was the 1st place female champion in the 5K race and Mrs. Baldwin was the 3rd place female finisher. Funds raised by the race benefit the San Juan High School in Kalayaan, Laguna.
